Growth mindset is a specific way of thinking which allows you to become better at things that are mainly school related. But this can vary and can spread to other things in your life. A growth mindset is about not giving up. It’s about saying “I didn’t get it done YET”. It is a different way of thinking in which you are always approaching the standard if you have not done the assignment yet. There is a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. In a fixed mindset people spend their time documenting their intelligence and work instead of developing it. Growth mindset is a mindset in which the most basic abilities and can be developed over some time through hard work and dedication. This is so vital because if students believe that they will become smarter then they can. They eventually understand that the struggle and all the hard work makes them better at what they are doing. Ultimately a growth mindset is a guide to living a less stressful life. A fixed mindset is the opposite, it is the feeling that their intelligence, basic abilities, and also talents are fixed traits that cannot be altered through practice. For me a growth mindset was the fact that if I have trouble focusing on getting my homework done then I can go to the library and put more effort into it so I can get a better grade. Sometimes It is difficult to focus on work sometimes so then that’s when I really need to focus and get stuff done.
