Michael Brown now has a Permanent Memorial
The Mayor of Ferguson, James Knowles III, announced plans for a Permanent Memorial on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, 5/20/15, the makeshift memorial for Michael Brown was dismantled and moved to a storage facility. This had to be done so that the City of Ferguson could repave the street. They also revealed the plaque and dove that has gone up at the same site (pictured to the left) on Thursday, both a little ways apart in the sidewalk where the altercation occurred.
One must remember that Officer Darren Wilson was cleared of all charges related to the death of Michael Brown, both via Grand Jury and by the Department of Justice. Now the City of Ferguson has approved and installed this plaque and declared this location a ‘Memorial site,’ all while they are being sued by the Brown family. This could be a misstep for the City in its civil case with the Brown family, even though the Brown family paid for the plaque and dove.
The Plaque reads:
“I would like the memory of Michael Brown to be a happy one. He left an afterglow of smiles when life was done. He leaves an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy and loving times and bright and sunny days. He’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that he left behind when life was done.”
Our country is officially running things upside down and inside out. There was once a day when we could recognize criminals and thugs* for what they were, instead we now see special cases amongst them as victims regardless of what the truth around the story is. In addition to that we've started to demonize people in our communities that in the past were regarded as heroes and people for our children to look up to and respect.
