Prototype or Perfection?

It’s been an eventful 10 days. From learning the basics of Arduino to revisiting lessons from school on basic circuits, the only word that truly describes me is ‘lost.’

It doesn’t help that one of our faculty (No prizes for guessing who) is constantly updating the ‘terms and conditions,’ that accompany any assignment.

However, the emphasis by aforementioned faculty on prototypes and experimentation over perfection and exhibits, things we usually obsess over in our courses, is a breath of fresh air. While it’s difficult to stop obsessing over the radius of the fillet of that edge next to the power cable that has to be ergonomically perfect ( you know which one I’m talking about), the focus on “failure” and what we take away is an interesting approach.

The beauty of teamwork can never be overstated. From the coding from our resident Apple fanboy, Salil Parekh to the beautification of everything by our extremely qualified (young) graphic designer, ishita jain , to our extremely confused and confused (Did I mention confused?) Nikita. And me. I do something’s. Sometimes.

The prototype will be put up soon. Tomorrow, at and around the Conflictorium, near the Delhi Darwaza. Hopefully, it’ll be the perfect prototype(?).
