Usually at around this time of the year, lots of people drop their latest single or release a new album. Beyonces been busy and so has Coldplay. But not Jon, no. He did not drop his latest hip hop album, or his new rap single. He decided to drop a massive surprise. We are not displaying our projects in the Conflictorium, but outside, on the streets. This completely changed game. Slate wiper. We had to literally start all over again. Thanks Jon.

No, but this is actually what Jon had in mind all along. We were obsessed with making our projects as well finished as possible, whereas the aim of this course is to create as much as possible, and not get stuck on one idea. So by moving us out of our comfort zone(literally), we were forced to think on our feet and make our installations more accessible to a larger audience. Redefining our project and making it work in a less ideal environment is not the only challenge we face. The Conflictorium lies in what could possible called a social hotbed, or a social crossroad, so the impact our installation would have is another interesting aspect to think about.
