Ready to sell your products on Instagram? Here’s what you need to know.
If you’re a consumer-facing brand with qualifying products, you should make time today to get approved to sell on Instagram.
For the past year, Instagram has been testing a new shopping experience in partnership with twenty retail giants. The results were extremely fruitful, and they’ve now released the feature to approved businesses in nine countries as of this writing.
This means that, if you’re a consumer-facing brand with qualifying products, you should make time today to get approved to sell on Instagram. One of their primary requirements is for your Instagram business profile to be connected to a Facebook Catalog, which you can learn how to create and then learn how to connect to Instagram.
Once that’s all set up, Instagram will review your account within a few days (usually). If and when they approve your account to sell, you’ll get a notification letting you know to go turn on product tagging in your Settings. I’ll update this article once we’ve taken a couple clients through this process to give you a more clear picture of how it works.
Til then, enjoy your conscious creative. 👁
