Apple just released iOS 4 for iPhone and iPod Touch. The software update is free for both types of devices. You can get it by connecting your device to iTunes and selecting “check updates”.
iOS 4 works with the following device versions:
- iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G*
- iPod Touch 3rd-gen and iPod Touch 2nd-gen*
* Some features like multitasking are not available with iPhone 3G and 2nd-generation iPod Touch .
The original iPhone and iPod Touch aren’t supported in the new iOS 4.
