Baking bread from scratch doesn’t take a lot of time or effort. I love baking bread and the freshly baked aroma it creates in the house! This easy homemade bread recipe requires no kneading and just a few minutes of preparation. The dough yields two loaves that are about 10 inches long.

These baguettes bake in a cast-iron terrine. The covered lid of the terrine allows for the heat to retain its hot temperature and even cooking distribution. These golden baguettes have a crispy crust and airy crumb inside. This recipe only requires water, yeast, flour, and salt. You can store the bread in a resealable bag for 2–3 days, or you can freeze these loaves and thaw them at room temperature when needed. Once you start eating this delicious slice of warm, fresh-baked bread from your oven, you won’t go back to the store-bought stuff. Baking these French baguettes are a pleasure that the whole family will enjoy!
