Do You Dream In Colors?

Do you feel your heart exploding?
While the world is slowly burning,

When you see injustice and you know
Nothing about it is fair.

Do you dream in colors?
Lost in someone’s else’s actions,

Like you’re slowly falling
down the mountainside,
Till a wise man with a serpent
heals you and you rise again.

Or when you’re caught up in the beauty of
A billion stars against a sapphire sky?
And the clouds bring rain, so good for the crops,

While the pundits spin and postulate
In an attempt to make sense
Out of senseless acts of pain and injustice.

Does the dichotomy infuriate,
anger, repudiate?

Does the venom flow
and pierce the chambers of your heart?

Then, do you scream out loud
in black and white,
The roar completely deafening?
