a long-love poem

I’ve heard and hear the music
Dark and low and light and high
That your heart sings
And my own answers
So we’ll sing together
For a while now
Longer with the day
Sweeter with the night
Until singing out our selves
Into the long bright night
We sound together
In a weightless song
Sweet notes and chords
To endless day
And endless night
Resolving into music
Longer than life
Warmer than light
Whole like love
