Dear Sub-Q Society,

I must decline your membership invitation for Suma and me. After a long discussion , we felt it best to let sleeping cats lie, so to speak. In her 17th year, if one counts correctly, puts her in Ya Ya status, she says her spirits are up in her dotage. We see and acknowledge a noticeable change in her eating habits, mostly on how she is able to draw more fluids from wet food on her own, she is happy.

We both agree that her life is happy with out the extra chore of adding a sharp note into our relationship and to stick her with something to only extend her life for my selfish need. If she were younger and with a full chance of recovery, this would be a wonderful temporary experience for care taking and trust, but she is 17 years old , the kidneys are failing , we both agree she has had a pampered life.
