Unforgiven Hearts

Photo by Arturo Rey on Unsplash

Who will pity the heart of a criminal?
Who will soothe his changing heart?
Going to be hanged — Who, O Who,
will care for the tears in his heart?

Yes, he did wrong to the society.
But won’t the voice of a change
that has spoken in the depths
of his heart, find a listener?

I see people that are condemned
for lives to live without seeing the sun,
I see their beating hearts,
their unforgiven hearts.

If you call yourselves human,
and are big-hearted, then,
take them in your arms,
Show that God resides in you…
