BAX Group traveler Startup- Exit scenarios

As a CMO, how I plan to exit?

During the past 12 weeks, BAX co-founders spend time and make efforts to explore the market, figure out the problems and needs, build our audiences. Based on our acquisition, we have over 800 people reached our facebook page, over 100 Instagram followers, different students sign in our landing page. Students are interested in our product, but not all of them need this service. So, we need to think of how to find our target customers. School and local business can be a good start. After talked with different organizers and local business, they are interested in the concept, but it is hard to convince them to trust us. They want more values from their perspectives. That is why we consider our revenue model to provide value to school and local business.

Getting acquired by TripAdvisor, Studentuniverse travel, or Airbnb

We create a network for group travelers and organizers to share and collaborate their travel plan, which means we put people at the center of our product. People can see themselves as the center of the network instead of a bunch of products network. I think a lot of travel company such as TripAdvisor, Expedia did a good job of helping people easily find out things to do, where to go, buy the tickets and flights, etc. But, they need some helps to design a better service from users’ perspective, adding social network can be a good to bring more users into their company.

StudentUniverse start a new service for Group travel, BAX group travel can make their service better than what they have right now. Airbnb experience has stable customers, we can provide a unique chapter for students to customize their own travel experience. Whichever companies who will acquire us will gain more customers and unique experience for their business.

Being a revenue-positive sustainable company

  • We start from study abroad students, and it is a clear and growing market.
  • We have a clear plan about how to expand our market from study abroad students to group travelers.
  • We make a reasonable revenue in our beta from customers who love our product.
  • We have amazing team members who have craft skills and passion.

I hope we can gain more experience and knowledge about how to raise money. Since three co-founders just start their career, we need to learn more economic knowledge, business strategy, and we need mentors!! We need some senior advisors to give us some suggestion while we are developing our product. If they can connect us with more investors, give us chances to pitch our demo in different events, increase our exposure in different platform, we would have more resources to develop further.

We will get there.
