BAX Revenue Model

This week team BAX was tasked to create a revenue model for our company.

We tried recruiting as many study abroad organizers as possible to talk to in person, and sent out surveys to fill out as well, but given most of them are teachers and have a life outside of school, the response emails started to come in until after our presentation. We were only able to talk to one study abroad organizer from our school, and two students who organized a group travel event at school.

From our talks with the organizers, we learned that BAX would be a valuable tool to organizers outside of study group travel, and that BAX could provide value to organizers through collaborating with students.

Getting out of the building” has always been our team’s goal, however we haven’t had much of chance to do so in the past weeks. This time we want to start doing that.

As shows through our revenue model, a significant part of our revenue would come from advertisers in order to fund BAX. This is why we want to talk with local business in San Francisco so they can tell us what their current model of advertising is. We’d also like to talk with more organizers from CCA and other schools in order to see what value we could provide to educational institutions for them to be willing to pay BAX for the use of our platform.
