One week left before our final pitch day

Creative founder- Week 14

--

We tried..

I was so excited for our mock pitch day this week. I thought we have great previous resources and information to prepare for the final pitch. During the final week, our team decided to divide our responsibility in order to work more efficiently. I was working on the demo storytelling, script, illustration, and presentation, Andres is working on mockups and presentation, Bibiana is mainly working on animation and finalize our demo. We all participate in discussing how to deliver our final pitch deck for the “Big Day”! Because we trust each other, that is the big win for ourselves
This week, we not only think a way to tell a convincing product story but also rethink our business model and how to earn money from both partnership and local business. I learned from my teammates and people I talked to. Each person has different suggestions, it is important to take their feedback as a consideration for validating our thoughts.

What we should improve:

I think our weakness is we are not clear about who we spoke to. We also need more time to practice our pitch deck. Our goal is not really clear. After the mock pitch, Kate mentioned a good point we need more than one partner. The reality is if one of our partners doesn’t want to work with us, we need to figure out who else might be interested in our business. We also need to simplify our value proposition to few words.

How I would address:

- Reconsider our pitch goal, who we spoke to
- Simplify Value pro
- Reconsider the partnerships
- Need to address some problems in demo animation: characters, resolution, etc
- Need to practice more with each other

My hope

I hope our time and efforts are worth during the whole semester, and our passion can be seen by those investors, designers, engineers. Looking forward to the big day next week, and we will rock it! With all our hopes and passion, our startup will continue… We will get there:)
