Reflection post about week [Acquisition experiment part I & alum panel]

What was it like to launch a landing page?

--

Launching landing pages is exhilarating for all of us. After all these weeks’ experiments with our target customers, we now present our product ideas to more people through our landing pages. After discussions, we decided to make two landing pages face different groups. One is for customers, and another is for our business side.

What did it feel like to work towards acquisition?

I felt acquisitions is hard. Since we do not know which channel talks best to our audiences, we will keep on working on it. The next step is to do just enough visual developments, refine value propositions and run experiments with a low-fi prototype. Visualization on the landing page can make our product looks more realistic and more attractive.

How confident are you in your team’s work so far?

We had the team assessment sections. The chart helps us to understand which part we need to work on more. We noticed that we have been working on the customers’ side in the past few weeks but did not dig into what is the restaurants’ needs and how we can provide service for them. Since if the value proposition for restaurants is the same as other existing products, they probably do not have many interests to use our products. So we also need to find out what is our unique parts for the restaurants’ owners.

What did you learn from the previous creative founders?

Meeting with previous creative founders is amazing! We first introduced ourselves and shared our products. Then each team has chances to ask questions. Most importantly, we got lots of good advice on the final pitch. We need to be fully prepared and practice for the pitch also needs to be thoughtful about how we deliver the idea. The delivery process needs to be precise and clear. Also, for the materials we will put on the slide, we need to make sure we know why put these into the slides to support our ideas.
