With the new Islamic year just around the corner, I felt a strong personal calling to reflect on my spiritual journey.

Trying to cover every area of my life as a Muslim led me to develop a personal exercise: The Faith Audit.

This is a framework I designed to help me assess my current practices and set actionable goals for continuous improvement in my faith.

I’m sharing what I’ve put together with the sincere hope that it might benefit you in your own spiritual introspection in the coming new year.

Perhaps it can offer a starting point, a different perspective, or simply encouragement if you’re looking to deepen your connection with Allah.

This Faith Audit is structured to facilitate reflection on a spiritual journey, assess current practices, and set actionable goals for continuous improvement in one’s faith.

Important Islamic Adab (Etiquette) for the Audit

  • Ikhlas (Sincerity). Perform this audit purely for the sake of Allah, seeking His pleasure and guidance, not for self-praise or despair.
