Quran Study
Racing for Worldly Gains Is Distracting You from the Ultimate Purpose
Exploring Surah At-Takathur, Ayat 1–8
Today, my heart finds itself drawn to Surah At-Takathur.
Perhaps it is the weight of the world, the constant whisper of ambition and acquisition, that has led me here.
I feel the subtle yet persistent pull of distraction, the way worldly gains can so easily cloud our vision of what truly matters.
It is with this personal reflection, this longing to realign my focus, that I study the profound message of the ayat of this surah.
I am documenting my journey of studying the Quran in a series of stories.
First and foremost for myself, and then for anyone who would like to read about the Quran from the perspective of a fresh reader, who holds no qualifications or titles to explain it to anyone. But just loves the book of the truth and wants to get closer to Allah through understanding it better.
