The weight of expectation presses down on me from every angle.

From the outside, I am the epitome of success — a career woman climbing the corporate ladder, living in the middle of London, independent and driven.

But behind the polished looks, a silent battle is taking place. The battle to balance my faith with the demands of a fast-paced world.

Islam, for me, is not just a religion, it’s my way of living.

It’s the compass guiding my actions, the anchor in stormy seas. Yet, in a world that often values ambition above all else, adhering to Islamic principles can feel like swimming against the stream.

Prayer, the heart of my faith, becomes a logistical puzzle. Finding prayer spaces amidst bustling London, coordinating prayer times with meetings and commutes, it’s a juggling act that often leaves me feeling frazzled.

The fear of missing a prayer, of neglecting my connection to Allah, is a constant source of anxiety.

And there are days when it’s impossible to not miss them. And the guilt becomes a heavy cloak…
