Quran Study
When the Earth Shakes, a Reminder of Accountability
Exploring Surah Az-Zalzalah, The Earthquake
The first time I heard Surah Az-Zalzalah was in Jummah prayer. I could understand nothing, as I didn’t know any Arabic at that point. But my body shivered when the imam finished it.
I remembered only the word zalzalah so I rushed searching what it was, and reading the translation I could understand why my soul had felt it so deeply. I want to explore now more in depth the supreme meanings of this surah.
I am documenting my journey of studying the Quran in a series of stories.
First and foremost for myself, and then for anyone who would like to read about the Quran from the perspective of a fresh reader, who holds no qualifications or titles to explain it to anyone. But just loves the book of the truth and wants to get closer to Allah through understanding it better.
