To say the least, Queen is one of the greatest bands in musical history. When I was about ten years old, I was completely obsessed with the band and everything about their glorious lifestyle. The group of four just looked like they were having fun and producing amazing hits for us all to enjoy.

It was not until the release of the movie Bohemian Rhapsody that I realized that everything was not as it seemed. The life and subsequent death of Freddie Mercury, his real name being Farrokh Bulsara, were extremely tragic.

Freddie Mercury is, without question, one of the greatest voices of all time. With his songs came immense vocal challenges — to which he always impressed and wowed anyone that listened to him. He is known for having a four-octave vocal range.

However, his amazing career would come to a halt when he was diagnosed with AIDS.

The Amazing Career

It can be said that Freddie Mercury has had one of the most successful music careers in history. From hits like Bohemian Rhapsody to We Are the Champions, Mercury has produced and written some of the best songs of the 20th century.
