Waking up in the morning knowing it is the first day of your senior year of high school can be exciting. You would have so many enjoyable events and moments to look forward to in the next few months, but not if you woke up to murder.
The Tankleff Family
Seymour Tankleff and his wife, Arlene, lived the good life. They were wealthy, lived in a beautiful home, and had a son, Marty, age 17, who they adored.
Seymour was a successful businessman. He enjoyed entertaining and getting together with friends. However, a night of playing cards would end in tragedy and change Marty’s life forever.
Tragedy Strikes
Marty woke up early on September 6, 1988, in his Long Island, New York home. He was looking forward to his first day of school as a high school senior. However, he was about to make a discovery that no young son should find.
Marty left his bedroom and found the lights were still on in the house from the night before. He found the house was still unlocked and the burglar alarm and never been activated. What he found next was horrifying.
Marty found his mother, Arlene, dead in her bedroom and his father, Seymour, on the floor…
