16-Year-Old Joshan Ran Away From Home and Hitchhiked with Her Killer

Joshan Ashbrook was a 16-year-old girl from Florida. She was an aspiring artist and loved to write songs with her sister. Though her goal was to be a singer, Joshan decided that if that did not work out, she could become an entertainment lawyer.

Much like any other teenager, Joshan and her parents barely saw eye to eye. The family had ongoing conflicts but nothing out of the ordinary and most of the time, the issues were resolved. Joshan also had a history of running away from home when things would get difficult, but she would always end up coming back home on her own.

One of the family’s ongoing arguments was Joshan’s drug use. Her parents did not tolerate it and on July 31, 2002, Joshan ran away from home and was never seen alive again.

Joshan Doesn’t Come Back Home

Given her history, Joshan’s parents knew that she would come back home after a day or two and they would talk about the issues they were having. However, after a few days of not hearing from her, her parents got worried. They called around and looked for her but with no luck.
