As fall approaches, you can already feel the breeze start to roll in. Why not enjoy the chilly weather by attending some of the fall events that take place here in Austin?

Below is a list of places that you may consider visiting, along with some reviews on each.

Barton Hill Farms Pumpkin Patch

Located in Bastrop, the farm is a 36 minute drive from Austin. Barton Hill Farms features a pumpkin patch, a fall festival, a large corn maze, delicious food such as pizza, kettle corn and churros; and outdoor activities.

“Great day out for the whole family. Fun activities for the kids, good entertainment, beautiful flowers to pick. Clean and well run facilities,” says Andrew Polito.

Lone Star Ranch Horseback Riding

Lone Star Ranch Horseback Riding is a ranch located just minutes away from Downtown Austin. This ranch has many trails where you can horseback ride. From beginner to expert riding, you’ll be able to get a scenic view of what fall has to offer. There’s also archery and tomahawk-throwing. A ranch venue is also provided for hosting family, party and other fun events. The ranch offers a safe environment and experienced staff for the fun experience of horseback riding, sunsets and more.

House of Torment

If you love a good scare, then this is the place to go! The House of Torment is one of the most well-known haunted houses in Austin. The House of Torment features three different themed haunted houses, escape mini-games, axe throwing and dining. Have a fun and safe scare while employees in costumes wander around the place looking to scare customers. After one year of being temporarily closed, the scare has been back on! Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo is an event where the spirit of Halloween can be celebrated at the Austin Zoo, along with other cool activities.

Kids can wear their Halloween costumes throughout the evenings of October 2021. Their official date has yet to be posted.

Each year, the zoo is lit up with Halloween lights and decorations, perfect for pictures and long-lasting memories. The zoo will feature a spooky train ride and mansion. There will also be limited seating in certain areas, so buy your tickets while you can!
