Bass Place

Thumbs dance on broken roads in a poem I suppose but it gives me a charge

A cartoon in vibrant colors of a bunny playing bass standing in between four huge amps. The bunny has his foot on a stool. The bass is made out of a bass fish. Art by Doodleslice 2024

Really doesn’t matter
Fish or funk
Back in front of my junk
Front in back of this trunk
Lyfting me higher

Thump-a-dump
I’m so old
I used to bump
Not well
But nobody was keeping score
Just parking tickets
Sticky
Thickets

Side roadside slide
Weaves a traffic trick
Right right right
But not at the light
Dimes change
Sorry
Ya can’t
At least not here anymore

One way streak
Eek

Battalions abeyance
Conveyance
LST
I’m free to associate
But will I
In November
Still be counting
January beats
