Poetry
Calamities
A poem soaked in lye
And tragedies
And wah
Wah
WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Can’t I write it louder?
This mute paper
Muffling
Smothering
Anguish deserves better
Adapted as we are
For tragic potions
Whodunnit miseries
Falling past Darwin
Into overwhelm
We aren’t built for the firehose
A laminar flow
Billion gallons of bites
Flesh tears
From soak-scarred throats
Drowned before swallowing
Stupidity
In bombardment
Shrinking gray bleeds pink
Violence
Souls impoverished
Sandpapered eyes
Blind to pickpockets
Influencing chairs
To recline in green luxury
