breaking the surface tension

One-way street to calamity.
Two-way mirror for vanity.
Three card monte of amity.

Clear and bright on the sunny side.
Shade gets thrown or just cast aside.
Dappled truths may be misapplied.

Double standards at half the price
on the outskirts of paradise.
Running on like a comma splice.
