It was only one day
after yesterday
when I found me
after I found you
sometime slowly
sometime long after
one tomorrow bloomed
into brilliant molten moons
and all the while
you were welded to midnight
your halo withered
weathered latent lines
boldly fading
into printed fractions
as our designated demands
denied beginnings
of subtle creations
of thoughts of the lost
and of the lonely

My slow tears
fell with the rain
monsoons of days
twist into rushing rivers
and an old heart-shaped box
imparts new winter seasons
tuning ice
tuning futures
into endless rows
of frozen waterfalls
and shadows that outline
past formations
like jagged rocks
with jagged truths
it’s all mirrored reflections
just breathe in
then breathe out
nothing has
no mercy
