Dwyane Wade reached a buyout with the Chicago Bulls Sunday night, and has reportedly been considering San Antonio, Miami, and CLEVELAND.

So, what does this really mean? For one, it means the Chicago Bulls spent a lot of money for a partial year of Dwyane Wade. Two, it means one lucky team will likely improve in the next week.

Dwyane Wade is old, I get it. Same with Carmelo. It’s just unfair to pronounce either of them dead this early. Dwyane Wade is only a year and five months removed from reminding every NBA fan that he could still take over a playoff game (his last playoff series with the Heat).

Wade struggled with injury last year, sitting out 22 games, but still averaged over 18 points a game and obviously still has tremendous value as a locker room presence. He also had his second best three point shooting season of his 14 year career, which is a crucial addition to his game.

Plus, he can still do this:

What I’m getting at, is that Dwyane Wade is a valuable piece that the Cavaliers desperately need. Usually, I try to be unbiased and try not to share my fandom on this platform. But man, would I be excited to land Wade.

Even if he is just a shell of his former self, D Wade will help energize the locker room, give LeBron flashbacks of Miami (which was clearly his favorite time), and most importantly, one more player to throw in Golden State’s direction and pray.

I believe this is the last step we can take towards recovering the loss of Kyrie, and it needs to happen.

Please give this story some applause, and read more at The Crossover.
