Visa Innovation Program is a unique, collaborative platform in the startup and fintech ecosystem bringing together Visa and its business partners in order to generate new digital payment solutions in various sectors of the economy.

We invite companies and startups to submit proposals for the 2nd cohort of Visa Innovation Program. The aim of the program is to result in new innovative applications and experiences in digital payments.

Visa Innovation Program will operate as a collaborative platform enabling fintechs, startups and Visa’s business partners to work together in order to address market-wide challenges through groundbreaking models aiming to transform the payments landscape in Greece.

The Program focuses on changing cash behavior to card payments and new digital payment methods under four main themes:

Challenge #1: Digital Economy, Create a convenient customer experience for daily transactions!

Challenge #2: Disrupt the flow, new payment flows, domestic and cross-border (C2C, C2B, B2B, C2G, B2G)

Challenge #3: Rethink Payments in the Retail Sector!

Challenge #4: General Application with sustainability focus

The Program is targeted at large and mid-sized fintech and startup companies with a fully or semi-functional solution that addresses market needs. The Program will also welcome smaller fintechs by catering their needs around accessing the Visa-friendly service provider ecosystem and proof of concept (PoC) opportunities.

Fintechs and startups to participate in the program will have access to a wide array of mentors, experts, coaches, and Visa’s global network while receiving support on business planning and functional prototype development.

The Program will encourage participants to follow a human-centered design approach and will leverage co-creation and open innovation methodologies in an effort to tailor their existing solutions as per specific needs and challenges of the market.

Startups will also be encouraged to leverage the Visa Developer Platform (VDP) which provides simplified and user-friendly access to many of Visa’s most in-demand products and services through APIs, allowing anyone to transform great ideas into new digital commerce experiences, while at the same time meeting industry standards.
