Open Day BOC Fintech Hackathon 4.0: where the fintech nation begins…
The Open Day for the BOC Fintech Hackathon 4.0 was held On Thursday 21st September 2023, during which the objectives, process, available tools, and challenges were presented. The Open Day witnessed significant participation, with over 50 registered attendees.
This event marks the beginning of BOC Fintech Hackathon 4.0 which is set to take place in person from October 6th to 8th, 2023 at the IDEA Innovation Center in Nicosia.
The Open Day started with an introduction by Mr. Demetris Papallis, Manager IT Governance at Bank of Cyprus. Mr. Papallis explained the objective of this initiative and emphasized the importance of innovation within Fintech. He also encouraged the participants to join BOC Fintech Hackathon 4.0 and embark on a Fintech journey.
Afterwards, Mr. Andreas Michaelides, Delivery Management Lead and Mr. Marios Koskinas, Integrations Technical Lead at Jinius, presented the Jinius APIs, and the available tools that will be provided to the contestants of BOC Fintech Hackathon 4.0 for their implementations during the hackathon process.
Mr. George Karamanolis, Co-founder, CTO/CIO from Crowdpolicy, presented the process, the goal, and the challenges, but also all the available resources, tools and examples that the contestants can refer to at the hackathon.
Last but not least some of the partners of BOC Fintech Hackathon, Mr. Panayiotis Korinos, Manager Innovation & Entrepreneurship of Innovation & Entrepreneurship Centre at Bank of Cyprus, Dr Styliani Petroudi, Head of the Research Office of CYENS Centre of Excellence (CoE) and Ms. Helen Takoudis, Account Executive of Microsoft Hellas, expressed their enthusiasm and made short greetings to the participants.
The goal of BOC Fintech Hackathon 4.0 is to create innovative solutions in the Fintech domain, up to the stage of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), with the perspective of future development into full-fledged functional applications. The 4th innovation marathon for the development of solutions and applications in the Fintech sector!
BOC Fintech Hackathon 4.0 will be held physically, at IDEA Innovation Center from 6 to 8 October 2023.
