Switch_On: Innovation Lab for Smart Grids powered by HEDNO S.A.
HEDNO S. A. (Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator S. A. — www.deddie.gr), with the support of the innovation and technology company Crowdpolicy, is launching Switch_On Innovation Lab aiming to break new ground in the field of energy and networks.
The Switch_On Innovation Lab of HEDNO is the first innovation lab for energy and smart grids in Greece and one of the first in Europe.
It aims to develop new groundbreaking products and services for electricity distribution networks and apply them to the Greek electricity system, through the collaboration of HEDNO with new innovative teams and businesses.
At the same time, through the process of creating new products and services, it enables new teams of engineers and developers to turn their idea into a functional prototype which can then be commercially developed.
HEDNO S.A. is a 100% subsidiary of PPC S.A. and its tasks include the operation, maintenance and development of the power distribution network in Greece as well as the assurance of a transparent and impartial access of consumers and all network users, in general.
HEDNO (www.deddie.gr), in cooperation with Crowdpolicy, will hold a Switch_On Open Day on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at 17:30 at Athinais Cultural Center to present the innovation lab, its goals and the process of selecting the teams to be supported.
