A Manhwa Every Enthusiast Should Read

A story based post-apocalyptic world is not new these days. In the past few decades, we got numerous Anime and Manga from this genre. On one side, we got some roller-coaster series like Attack on Titan; famous for its action and outstanding visuals. But on the other side, we had some series that got popular for a totally different reason like Neon Genesis Evangelion and Dr. Stone. But they basically had the same structure- “A group of people trying to defend humanity from the dangerous creatures or phenomenon that caused the apocalypse in the first place”. As so much work is done on the genre, coming up with something new isn’t actually easy. So, the common solution is to follow the tropes but intensify them to be appealing to the audience. Today, I am gonna talk about, not an Anime or Manga but, a Manhwa that does just that. As you know from the title, we are gonna talk about Leviathan.

Leviathan was serialized in 2018 by Toomics and currently, it has 164 chapters. The story goes like this- Over a century ago a comet struck the Earth, causing the sea level to rise and engulf the continents one by one. What’s left of mankind now lives aboard ships that float the endless ocean, and beneath the surface, giant, bloodthirsty giant sea creatures lurk, waiting to devour the flesh of divers…
