The Coronavirus pandemic has one-third of the human population under a lockdown around the world. People all around the world are spending their days living in fear. Although this whole “Being-confined-inside-the-four-walls-of-my-home” situation can be pretty tiresome, some heroes out there are ready to help. And they don’t come in capes.

Jack Monroe, a British food writer, and activist, has come out on twitter to help out people who are left with ingredients in their pantry that they don’t know what to do with. The “Tin Can Cook” writer has started a hashtag called #JackMonroesLockdownLarder on Twitter. She comes on twitter every day at 5 pm GMT, stays for an hour and helps people out. People can send a photo of the things left in their pantry and she gives them ideas of what they can make with them.

Another British chef Jamie Oliver has released a series called “Keep Cooking And Carry On”.It consists of 5 episodes featuring recipes that can be made with pantry basics.

Coronavirus might’ve pushed us to the edge but it sure is bringing out the best in us.
