In the early days, OpenAI focused on developing a variety of AI models and technologies, including the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) model and the Dactyl robotic hand. In 2016, the company released OpenAI Gym, a toolkit for developing and comparing reinforcement learning algorithms.

OpenAI released the GPT-1 language model in 2017, which was capable of producing human-like text. The model gained popularity quickly and was used in a variety of applications, including chatbots and language translation. In 2018, OpenAI released the GPT-2 model, which was even more advanced than its predecessor.

In 2019, OpenAI released a conversational AI model called DialoGPT, which was trained on a large dataset of conversational text and was designed to generate natural-sounding responses to user input. The same year, the company released “OpenAI GPT-3” which was considered the most powerful language model at that time.
