Linea is a network developed to scale the experience of Ethereum. It offers out-of-the-box compatibility with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which is used by numerous project for dApp development.
This compatibility allows for the deployment of existing apps, as well as the creation of new ones, that would otherwise be too expensive to create on the Ethereum Mainnet. The project’s inception dates back to 2019, which was the time when Ethereum suffered from pressing scalability issues.
