We are SO excited!!!

The 2019 FOLKIE Film Awards are LIVE!

These awards have been designed to bring storytelling adventures right into the classroom, encouraging literacy, public speaking skills and communications on a transmedia platform.

In a partnership between the Folktellers and the staff, students and administration at Upton Elementary, fifth graders have read Book I: Phases of the Moon from the Excerpts from an Unknown Guidebook Series. Student teams have produced their own “folk-tale” videos inspired by this book series.

These short films are now available for your votes and views until March 12th.

The video with the most views will be declared the winner and announced at our closing ceremony on March 13th.
