Coinbase Ready To List New Crypto, Ethfinex Now Open To All

Coinbase have announced their intention to rapidly list all assets that meet their digital asset framework and are inviting projects to submit an official request starting right now.

The first thing to point out here is that asset listing is not universal.

That means if Basic Attention Token gets listed, it won’t automatically be available to all Coinbase customers.

It will only be available in legal jurisdictions that fit their criteria.

To their credit though, they do publish their listing criteria in its entirety which looks like this:

There are 6 major categories with a number of criteria in each.

There is currently no application fee but they reserve the right to impose on at a later date.

They also say they may list an asset because they deem it worth, even if there’s been no formal request for it.

As they have stated on a number of previous occasions their internal policy is that Coinbase employee are subject to trading restrictions and confidentiality obligations.

Based on the contents of the digital asset framework privacy coins are not likely to be approved or anything that is potentially considered a security.

Final story today is that Ethfinex Trustless is now completely open and accessible to all.
