The Cube-Daily News Update: 2/14/17

On this Valentine’s Day, we’ve got some release dates, and news for high profile exclusives, released or upcoming. Here are your essential stories for Tuesday, February 14th 2017.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will receive an expansion pass:

Nintendo has announced The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will receive an $20 expansion pass, with the first and second parts releasing in Summer and Holiday 2017. However, these can’t be purchased individually, but will contain new modes, features, dungeons, and a story. Watch the trailer below.

Snake Pass has a release date, and it’s soon:

Puzzle platformer Snake Pass is launching on the 29th of next month, Sumo Digital has confirmed. This unfortunately wasn’t included with a price point, but we do know the game is coming to all consoles including Nintendo Switch, and will run on Unreal Engine 4. It’s Sumo’s first original game.

Kalypso has dated Vikings: Wolves of Midgard:

Announced along with a Playstation Blog post discussing newly revealed features, the action RPG Vikings - Wolves of Midgard is releasing on the 28th of next month. The game will launch for $40 and is coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One, Mac, and PC. It’s currently in it’s final stages of development.

Rocket League will get Playstation 4 Pro support:

Rocket League is getting Playstation 4 Pro support on the 21st of this month, Psyonix has announced. This will release alongside the Hot Wheels DLC and Player’s Choice Crate, and will offer 60fps and 1080p, even when playing forms of split-screen.

EA has detailed all for Battlefield 1’s Winter Update, coming tommorow:

In a new livestream, EA has given all of the goodies included with Battlefield 1’s winter update. First of all is the return of the Ribbon XP system, which can bump XP and progress. Players will also get access to new elite codexes and XP bonuses, and voting for new maps is now an option. The game’s upcoming first expansion, currently lacks a date.
