Today we have some big news coming from 505 Games, as well as indie games moving because of it. Here are your essential stories for Friday, February 3rd 2017.
Dead by Daylight is getting a retail version:
Starbreeze has announced a new partnership with publisher 505 Games, in order to bring their title Dead by Daylight, to retail. The game will launch for consoles sometime in Q2 2017, and the royalty was equaled to cost around 2.5 million dollars (cited from Starbreeze).
Stardew Valley will be released physically, in stores:
505 Games has announced it will be releasing a Collector’s Edition of Stardew Valley, on April 11th (North America) and April 13th (Europe). The game will cost $30, and will include a poster and a code for the game’s soundtrack among other things. Watch the announcement trailer below.
Sniper Elite 4 will utilize the Playstation 4 Pro:
Rebellion has revealed that Sniper Elite 4 will receive Playstation 4 Pro support, which will enhance/improve the frame-rate, draw distances, level of detail, lighting, and reflection quality, among other things. Sniper Elite 4 launches worldwide for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on the 14th of this month.
Fire Emblem Heroes is already experiencing great success:
It’s only been out for a little more than a full day, but Fire Emblem Heroes is making bank for Nintendo. The game reportedly had the fourth highest launch when compared to SuperCell and Nintendo releases, and has been downloaded over two million times. These numbers come from Google Play and the App Store.
Fallout Shelter is releasing on Xbox One:
Bethesda has stated it is bringing Fallout Shelter to Xbox One on the 7th of this month, and will support full Play Anywhere compatibility. Controls have also been moved around to support the controller, and the game is still free-to-play. It originally released in the summer of 2015.
