This Sunday, we’ve got some news surrounding Youtubers, Zelda: Breath for Wild, and of course Battlefield 1. Here are your essential news stories for June 26th 2016.

Prevalent Youtuber Boogie2988 Was Hacked and Had His Channel Completely Deleted, Although It’s Restored Now:

Gaming and vlogger Boogie2988 (who has amassed over three million subs) recently had his hacked and all content deleted, although he was able to restore it during his busy trip in Vidcon. The hacker 6ET has claimed responsibility on Twitter, with Boogie only addressing the hack on Reddit.

A New Update Has Been Released For Fallout 4, and it’s needed in order to fully experience the Fallout 4 Mods Closed Beta on Playstation 4:

Bethesda has released a mod-centric update for Fallout 4, which is mandatory for players who will be downloading mods anytime, soon especially in the upcoming Closed Beta. The only other things introduced that didn’t surround mods were a couple of stability patches, and that’s about it.

Payday 2 will be free on PC until July 4th:

Overkill Software has announced a slew of new deals encompassing the Payday franchise, including the game’s sequel being free to play until July 4th, 90% off the original game, and 75% off all previous DLC. With microtransactions recently being removed, this is a great step to jump back into the franchise.

Battlefield 4, Hardline, and 1 are getting new changes in the form of UI:

In a developer blog post, DICE has announced that they are adding some new features that could possibly reshape how Battlelog works. These will be introduced in all current Battlefield games and the upcoming Battlefield 1, and contains updates such as a recommendation engine, being able to join a Squad before a match and more. It’s currently in beta phase, so don’t get your hopes up till October.

Miyamoto has revealed that upcoming Zelda spinoffs do not necessarily need to feature Link:

For the next couple of years, it looks like Link will be the hero of all main Zelda games, but Nintendo is experimenting with other possibilities in the ideas of spinoffs. Not much was said beyond this, but we might see Shiek, Tingle, and more, but not just in Dynasty Warriors style mashups.
