Arkane and Playdead take the company highlights of today, but don’t expect games to leave the fray. Here are your essential stories for Tuesday, June 27th 2017.

Prop Hunt is coming back in Modern Warfare Remastered:

Modern Warfare Remastered was just released as a standalone product, but that doesn’t mean the game isn’t receiving new content. Infinity Ward has announced it will adding Prop Hunt to the game, a hide and seek mode where you take on different objects in Call of Duty maps while other players hunt for you. The mode is also set to include beach themed props which align with a new Summer promotion for Call of Duty’s last three games (Infinite Warfare, Black Ops 3, and Advanced Warfare).

Get a first look at the next game from Playdead’s former founder:

Jumpship a studio founded by former Playdead CEO, has now revealed their first project. Its called Somerville, and is set to be a sci-fi action adventure game. Interestingly enough, development for the title started in 2014 as a side project but has now expanded as Jumpship looks to expand more and more. You can watch the first trailer below, no release date and or platforms have been provided.

Here are your Games with Gold for the month of July:

Its nearly the end of June, and that means the reveal of July’s Games with Gold. This time it includes Grow Up and Runbow for Xbox One and Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean for Xbox 360. These games typically range from $10 to $20, you can watch a trailer for all titles below. Remember, you only get to play the titles for free if you are a Gold member.

Arkane’s co-founder is exiting after 18 years with the company:

Rapheal Colantonio, co-founder of Arkane Studios, has announced his leave from the company following 18 years of work. His reason for leaving the company was to spend more time with his family, his absence is especially notable when the studio has just shipped Prey and Dishonored 2 in the past year. In terms of Arkane Studios, they were recently known as a contract studio and worked on many cancelled games, until smashing a commercial success with Dishonored.

A new Assassin’s Creed game is coming to mobile:

Behavior Interactive have announced they are working on a new mobile Assassin’s Creed title, named Assassin’s Creed Rebellion. The game is a free to play strategy RPG, and is set during the Spanish Inquisition. A release date has not been detailed, however you can watch the first trailer below. The last mainline Assassin’s Creed game to release was Syndicate in October 2015.
