The Witcher 3 finally gets a re-release and the NX gets yet another confirmation

It’s Wednesday, and a multitude of gaming stories have arisen from the cracks as Gamescom looms closer. Here are your essential stories for August 11th 2016.

The Xbox One outsold the PS4 in the month of July:

The console wars may never end, but the NPD has declared a winner (sales-wise, of course) That’s right, the Xbox One has outsold the PS4 again. This isn’t the biggest win as it was still a slow month, but Microsoft is still celebrating.

A collection of Destiny 2 “concept art” has been leaked:

Hey concept artists! Be a bit more careful with your portfolios. Why? A new Destiny 2 pitch has been leaked and looks pretty valid. It depicts a more darker tone, with the usual smoke and flames. We have no idea if this is the real deal, but there’s a good chance.

A new patent confirms some heavy NX rumors:

A couple weeks ago, a collection of NX details were released by Eurogamer and according to new patents, there might not need to be anymore speculation. They basically corroborate what was detailed before, including the attachable components. Go figure!

The Witcher 3 is getting a GOTY Edition:

In what used to be a retailer rumor, is now the real thing. The Witcher 3 Complete Edition is releasing on August 30th, with all previous DLC and expansion packs. In other CD Projeckt Red News, Gwent’s beta has been delayed, and we still have nothing on Cyberpunk.

Battlefield 1 will be getting a new trailer soon:

Battlefield 1 will be getting yet another celebrity livestream at this year’s Gamescom, but that’s not all, as EA has also teased a new trailer and beta details. It seems like it will be more multiplayer focused however, so single player might have to wait.
