Off beat.

The term “off beat” to me traditionally has been related to music. Being off, not following the score, leaving your band behind or ahead of them. But what’s interesting is I recently heard this term to describe someone being “off”.

What’s even more interesting was whether this was an issue. It wasn’t. Like music, when you notice you’re off beat, you recalibrate, adjust your tempo, and get back in the rhythm.

The next time you’re being off beat, just remember, recalibrate and follow the tempo again. It’s no big deal.
