Life is about always ‘one upping’ someone else

The strategy to winning a game is to always ‘one up’ someone else. In sports, you hope your strategy is better than the opponent’s, you study their game so you can improve yours, by mitigating any factors they throw at you.

In life, this is no different. If you want to win, you need to study, you need to mitigate, you need to ‘one up’ someone else too. It’s not by fluke that someone becomes the great X or an untouchable. They got there by ‘one upping’ everyone else. They studied, they practiced, and they rinsed and repeat.

If you ever want to refine your craft, you need to be in the mindset of always ‘one upping’. You need to patient, you need to be consistent. This is not a sprint, it’s a marathon.
