In our last issue we wrote about the rise of ecommerce. This report from Salesforce uses data from its universe of customers to provide a deeper dive analysis on these trends. As they write: “This year’s third quarter proved many of the digital habits consumers picked up in the first half of the year are beginning to stick.”

We’re Never Going Back
With positive signs coming from recent trials of the COVID vaccines, many organizations are pondering the future of work location. We have written about our view in the past, but this article provides a fresh perspective on the three big options that organizations face: 1) full remote, 2) full onsite, 3) hybrid. While the author offers deep perspectives on these trends and different situations will require different strategies, he makes a pressing point that many organizations may not be considering: “Missing from the debate is the fact that it’s not really up to the companies to choose. Employees will ultimately make the decision.” If this is true, it is critical for organizations to be prepared for each of the aforementioned scenarios.
