Strengths: QB, RB, WR
Aaron Rodgers, Todd Gurley, Michael Thomas. Enough said. When you’re ranked 1st, you don’t get paragraphs written about how good your team is.
Weaknesses: JJ Nelson
Binh has one of the best WR4’s in the D|League in Cooper Kupp. JJ Nelson on the other hand… is one of the worst WR5’s. It’s unlikely Binh will need to rely on Nelson at all, but it is worth mentioning. Trading Crabtree was a gamble, but one Binh could probably afford to make thanks to his other WRs.
X-Factor: Josh Gordon
I’ll actually skip the “Are We Sure Player ___ is Good?” for Binh because Josh Gordon is a legitimate X-Factor. Last year Gordon was able to play in Cleveland’s last 5 games, putting up 335 yards and a TD. Nothing crazy, but still good for a 1000 yard season if you multiply that over 16 games. If that’s the player he is now, Binh has himself a very solid WR2/3 for fantasy.
After another offseason of training and getting in shape though… what if 2013 Flash Gordon is back? Gordon’s 2013 stats: 1646 yards and 9 TDs in only 14 games, and that was with Jason Campbell, Brandon Weeden, and Brian Hoyer throwing him the ball. Plus, it’s not like he’s an old guy trying to bounce back. Even after all this time, Gordon is only 27, essentially entering his physical prime. If Flash is back, Binh’s roster goes from stacked to just unfair.
Prediction: 1st, 10–3 record
Tani, Kurtis, and Binh are all in the same tier as championship favorites. However, after two consecutive years of placing 3rd, Binh’s team puts it together in 2018 for a championship.
