14. Jason

Last Preseason Rank: 10th
Season Finish: 8th (7–6)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Bryce Young (Draft)
+Sam LaPorta (Draft)
-Derek Carr (Trade)

Last year JTong finished a respectable 7–6 thanks to a soft schedule (2nd lowest points against) which if we’re being honest, he probably wasn’t very happy about. The rebuild continues in 2023 as the race for Marvin Harrison Jr. begins, who Jason could sorely use to bolster a weakening WR core.

Projected Weekly Points: 98.68
Projected Record: 2–11

13. Tani

Last Preseason Rank: 13th
Season Finish: 11th (6–7)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Jordan Addison (Draft)

Tani’s starting lineup is starting to come together with young talent but expectations should be tempered for two RB’s returning from injury and the sophomore-freshman duo of Watson-Addison. Plus, Tani’s depth is by far the worst in the league.

Projected Weekly Points: 102.57
Projected Record: 3–10

12. Zane

Last Preseason Rank: 11th
Season Finish: 4th (7–6)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
-Keenan Allen (Trade)

Zane proved me wrong last year and got into the playoff mix last season, squeaking in at the buzzer in Week 14 and ultimately finishing 4th. Unfortunately the odds are stacked against him again with Lawrence, Chubb, and Lamb needing to do some major heavy lifting for this team to compete.

Projected Weekly Points: 103.05
Projected Record: 5–8

11. JR

Last Preseason Rank: 12th
Season Finish: 13th (5–8)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Jahmyr Gibbs (Draft)
+Calvin Ridley (Return from Suspension)
-Christian McCaffrey (Trade)
-DeAndre Hopkins (Trade)

JR’s starting lineup actually doesn’t look too bad but there’s no one jumping off the page as high-end difference makers with the exception of Josh Allen. Gibbs and Ridley have the best chance at getting there but we’ll need to see it first from a rookie RB and veteran WR who hasn’t played an NFL game since 2021.

Projected Weekly Points: 103.81
Projected Record: 5–8

10. Jeff

Last Preseason Rank: 8th
Season Finish: 12th (6–7)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Diontae Johnson (Trade)
+Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Draft)

Jeff’s season essentially hinges on Jonathan Taylor. If he ends up playing a full season for the Colts or even better, heads to a team like the Dolphins, he’s in the mix for RB 1 overall. Then, if JSN can emerge as a rookie like his fellow Ohio State alum Olave and Wilson, Jeff’s team could quickly jump into the playoff mix.

Projected Weekly Points: 104.94
Projected Record: 6–7

The D|League tides are a-changin’ in 2023, with three teams who have consistently ranked in the Top 6 over the last 5+ years finally falling down into the middle tier.

9. Orlando

Last Preseason Rank: 5th
Season Finish: 9th (6–7)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+C.J. Stroud (Draft)

Lando had a rough season last year, finishing 6–7 despite the 3rd most points scored. The bones are starting to creak on this aging roster but there’s hope for a resurgent Aaron Rodgers season and at this point in their careers, Jones and Godwin are probably being underrated in fantasy.

Projected Weekly Points: 105.52
Projected Record: 7–6

8. Anton

Last Preseason Rank: 3rd
Season Finish: 3rd (10–3)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Dalton Kincaid (Draft)

Where there’s a Kelce there’s a way, but this roster is starting to show its age much like Lando’s. The once elite WR core is now just above-average and there’s a lot, probably too much, riding on Kyler returning not just from injury, but to his prior top 5 finishes in his first two seasons.

Projected Weekly Points: 105.82
Projected Record: 7–6

7. Josh

Last Preseason Rank: 4th
Season Finish: 6th (7–6)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Zay Flowers (Draft)
+Mike Williams (Trade)
-Davante Adams (Trade)

And last of the three declining contenders is Josh, who has already started his retooling with the Adams-Williams trade. Still, with the emergence of Pollard to take the place of Zeke both on the Cowboys and this starting lineup and a ton of fantasy hype around Lamar’s new Ravens offense, this roster should still be in the thick of the playoff mix.

Projected Weekly Points: 106.53
Projected Record: 7–6
