6. Chris

Last Preseason Rank: 1st
Season Finish: 5th (7–6)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Dallas Goedert (Trade)
+Geno Smith (Free Agency)
-Josh Jacobs (Trade)

Chris’ team has taken a step back in the preseason rankings compared to last summer thanks to a slew of hamstring injuries to his receivers, most notably Cooper Kupp, who has slid down to WR 12. On the flip side, Javonte Williams has made a speedy recovery from his knee injury and looks ready to get back to his tackle-breaking ways, leading Chris to make a retooling trade off of Josh Jacobs this morning. If Chris can survive the early season, he can still be a force come playoff time.

Projected Weekly Points: 108.26
Projected Record: 7–6

5. Kurtis

Last Preseason Rank: 6th
Season Finish: 10th (6–7)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Quentin Johnston (Draft)

Kurtis’ team is going to be dangerous for years thanks to the monster duo of Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase. He needs to continue to build around them but the current surrounding pieces are solid to good options. Mattison finally has a starting gig after years as a coveted handcuff and James Cook has the potential to really outperform his RB24 ranking. Depth could be a concern.

Projected Weekly Points: 113.37
Projected Record: 8–5

4. Binh

Last Preseason Rank: 14th
Season Finish: 14th (3–10)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Bijan Robinson (Draft)
+Anthony Richardson (Draft)
+Josh Jacobs (Trade)

What a climb for Binh, who not only jumped into the top 6 but now lands even higher at 4th thanks to a NFL season-opening trade for Josh Jacobs. Combined with drafting Bijan, Binh’s starting RBs are now 2nd-best in the league after being dead-last in that category last summer. His WRs are no slouches either, with Pickens and especially Olave ready to improve on their impressive rookie seasons along with the talented and underrated Tee Higgins.

Projected Weekly Points: 115.15
Projected Record: 8–5

3. Marlo

Last Preseason Rank: 9th
Season Finish: 2nd (7–6)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Keenan Allen (Trade)

Marlo stayed patient, never quite fully rebuilding but still drafting well and adding talent around Derrick Henry. That patience paid off with a trip to the Super Bowl last season and this team looks ready to be right back in the mix again. There are pretty much no weak links in the starting lineup but depth could be the Achilles heel of this roster. Marlo’s never had to deal with injuries before right?

Projected Weekly Points: 118.54
Projected Record: 8–5

2. Mikey

Last Preseason Rank: 7th
Season Finish: 7th (7–6)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Christian McCaffery (Trade)
+Tyreek Hill (Trade)
+DeAndre Hopkins (Trade)
+Aaron Rodgers (Trade)
+Aaron Jones (Trade)

And now we have the 1st of our two 2023 juggernauts. Mikey continues to do what he does best, which is gamble and go all-in. After adding CMC and Hopkins in the middle of last season, he made another blockbuster trade last week, adding Tyreek, Rodgers, and Jones. He has the best starting RBs in the league by far, somewhere between the 2nd-4th best WRs, the TE 4 in Waller, and arguably the best depth in the league.

Projected Weekly Points: 132.44
Projected Record: 11–2

1. Kevin

Last Preseason Rank: 2nd
Season Finish: 1st (7–6)

Notable 2022/2023 Additions/Departures:
+Davante Adams
+Derek Carr
-Mike Williams

It’s not just respect for the reigning champ and my desire to place the preseason No. 1 rank curse on Kevin, his team really is this good. Like Mikey, his positional rankings are top 3–4 across the board and to top it off, he has this guy named Patrick Mahomes at QB. A lot can happen over the course of an NFL season but at this point, a Kevin vs Mikey Super Bowl is extremely likely.

Projected Weekly Points: 133.42
Projected Record: 11–2
