Alex Smith blew up for 46.14 points in Week 13

Quick Week 13 Recap

Binh and Kurtis took their battle into Monday Night Football, where AJ Green and Pittsburgh DEF did just enough to give Kurtis the win. Binh’s loss was a tough one, as it pushed him out of a first round bye — which Tani was able to snag instead.

Anton opened Sunday morning as a 14 point projected favorite on Yahoo, and two quick Kelce touchdowns made Anton’s victory feel like a sure thing. Instead, Anton’s team cratered and Joe climbed his way to a steady 99 point effort, defeating Anton and knocking him out of the playoffs — officially ending any chance at a repeat.

Anton’s loss opened the door for JR and Kevin, who were able to win their respective matchups and squeeze into the 5th and 6th playoff spots. Jeff fell out of the playoffs despite an 8–5 record due to his points scored. It was a close one though — Jeff would’ve made it if Kevin lost to J Tong, and Martavis Bryant had a long TD called back due to a holding penalty.

Championship Bracket will still decide draft slots for the top 6 teams. Bottom 8 Draft Picks are locked:

1. Mikey
2. Marlo
3. Joe
4. J Tong
5. Bunghole
6. Anton
7. Josh
8. Jeff

Playoff Preview

In the Championship Bracket, Kurtis and Tani have byes this week as mentioned.

Binh and Kevin are facing off, and current Yahoo projections pin this as a close one. In a fun coincidence, their QBs are also matching up against each other this Sunday: Goff vs Wentz. I have a feeling they’ll both be watching that game closely.

The other quarterfinal matchup is Lando vs JR. Lando’s pulled a flurry of trades in the last week leaving him with zero 2018 draft picks — but considerable ammo for a Championship push. Will his gamble pay off, or will JR pull off an early round upset?

REMINDER: Yahoo will not show the correct matchups throughout the Consolation and Bunghole playoffs.

I was able to move some stuff around so that Week 14 is correct. I won’t have that ability to do the same next week though. The brackets for the bottom 8 teams are in Mazey and below for your reference:

Other End of Season Notes

Kurtis was able to shake off a tough couple of weeks, ending the season strong and holding onto the Season Points Leader crown with 1594.42 total points. The point total is also the new record in the short history of our league, 16.18 higher than Anton’s total of 1578.24 last year.

Mikey gets the 2017 Milk Dud award, with 1131.98 total points. JR had that “honor” last year with 1250.10 points, and there were also 3 other teams that scored lower than that this year: Jeff, Marlo, and Joe.
