The Rundown

JR makes a move to bolster his RB position after this offseason has suddenly made Jordan Howard a huge question mark moving forward. Lamar Miller might not be an exciting name but he’s consistently been a solid RB2 in fantasy and the Texans didn’t take a single RB in this draft like many expected them to. If JR plans on defending his Championship, this is a move he needed to make to stay competitive in 2019.

That said, this is a good move by Tani as well. He’s made a number of win-now trades in the last few years that has left him with the oldest roster in the league and a need for young talent. Behind Le’Veon and James Conner, Lamar Miller was only going to be a bye week fill-in for Tani so moving off him and landing a 1st Rounder is a no-brainer, even if it is a late pick.
